Based on the start of this story, I had serious doubts that I would be able to finish this book. The dialogue was silly and the pace was very slow, lingering over a trite premise. However, once Grace accepted that she had a sex God on her hands for the next 30 days, the pace picked up and the story became interesting. Julian's historical background and the circumstances that led to him becoming a slave were very intriguing, especially when overlaid with Greek immortals. The ending was exciting, with the requisite payoff. Don't let the beginning of this book deter you from finishing. I'm glad I didn't and plan to move forward with the series.
