Honor Gillette comes to the aid of the "sick man" her daughter saw in her yard and her life was forever altered. Lee Coburn was wounded the night before in a shoot out where seven people died and he's accused of their murder. He forces Honor to help him and she soon discovers all isn't as it seems in her world. The tension and intrigue was over the top in this story with some many twists and surprises. It was difficult to know who to trust and then how Lee and Honor were going to survive, along with a four-year old. The narrator for the audiobook was excellent, providing good distinctions between characters. The romance was steamy, living up to the sting of the other action going on around them. It's a great story and be prepared to sit on the edge of your seat for the long haul. It's a bumpy ride.
