Angle of Repose (Penguin Twentieth-Century Classics)

Angle of Repose - Wallace Stegner, Jackson J. Benson I know I'm in the minority here and understand this is an award winning novel but I couldn't finish this book. It was boring, the characters seemed one-dimensional and the prose difficult to follow. No matter how hard I tried to finish I could not get through it. I even went out on a boat with my husband in the middle of a lake for two hours without distraction and ended up watching my husband fish as it was more enjoyable. This is one of the few books (less than five in my lifetime) I was unable to finish. Kudos to those that did and enjoyed it. It wasn't for me and I tried hard to get there.
