Spell of the Highlander (The Highlander Series, Book 7)

Spell of the Highlander - Karen Marie Moning Jessi St. James is an over-worked archaeology student who inadvertently stumbles across an ancient mirror in her professor's office. Inside the mirror is a gorgeous half-naked man staring back at her who ends up saving her from an attempt on her life. Turns out he is Cian MacKeltar, heir to the arcane magic of his Druid ancestors, thought to have either never existed or mysteriously died in the 10th century. He's been trapped in the mirror all this time by an ancient enemy. Cian and Jessi are now linked until they can stop his enemy from getting the most dangerous of the Unseelie Hallows and find a way to release him from the mirror. This was a complicated story and the really the climax of the series and it is a good one. Cian is all brawn and alpha male, perfectly out of step with the 21st century. Once Jessi gets over her disbelief of the situation, she figures out how to handle this impossible Druid and their time together is pretty funny and, ultimately, steamy. It was great having the MacKeltar twins be a part of the story all leading to the ultimate climax. This book was a fitting end to the MacKeltar tale and this series. I hate to see it end.
