Insatiable

Insatiable - Meg Cabot I was disappointed in this book because while it was classified as adult level it appeared to be more young adult as presented.Meena, the lead character, possesses an extraordinary "gift" which she chooses to use pretty immaturely. Her brother couldn't have behaved more childishly, selling her out fairly quickly when opportunities presented themselves. Lucien seemed to fall in love with her before we even had a chance to determine her redeeming qualities. And, his character pivoted in a way at the end of the story without any build up to the personality change. Lastly, the introduction of the love triangle felt absurd. My issues are with the characters, them not seeming to be true to the story or to the extent of their development in the book. If there is a book 2 in this series, I will read it to see if it will provide more insight.
